Benjamin Franklin’s Plan
1. Temperance: Eat not to dullness and drink not to elevation.2. Silence: Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself. Avoid trifling conversation.
3. Order: Let all your things have their places. Let each part of your business have its time.
4. Resolution: Resolve to perform what you ought. Perform without fail what you resolve.
5. Frugality: Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself: i.e. Waste nothing.
6. Industry: Lose no time. Be always employed in something useful. Cut off all unnecessary actions.
7. Sincerity: Use no hurtful deceit. Think innocently and justly; and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
8. Justice: Wrong none, by doing injuries or omitting the benefits that are your duty.
9. Moderation: Avoid extremes. Forebear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.
10. Cleanliness: Tolerate no uncleanness in body, clothes or habitation.
11. Chastity: Rarely use venery but for health or offspring; Never to dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another’s peace or reputation.
12. Tranquility: Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.
13. Humility: Imitate Jesus and Socrates.

Dial-a-fix

Dial-a-fix (hereby known as “DAF”) is a collection of known fixes gleaned from Microsoft Knowledgebase articles, Microsoft MVPs, and other important support forums, that will assist you in repairing problems with your system. Although this tool is ordinarily meant for power users, technicians, and administrators, it is quite safe to use even without technical guidance (although it is recommended). Simply choose the solutions you wish to apply via checkmarks, and click GO. There are other buttons and tools present on the main dialog as well, such as the policy scanner. All tools and checkmarks identify their purpose when you mouse over them.
DAF’s primary philosophy is to fix problems by setting various things back to their Microsoft defaults.
DAF works on all pertinent 32-bit versions of Windows: 98, 98SE, Me, 2000, XP, and Server 2003. Dial-a-fix dynamically disables functions that are not applicable to your version of Windows. The version of Windows with the most support and functionality is currently Windows XP.

Google Pages
Google has released a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) web page authoring tool that requires no knowledge of HTML whatsoever, called Google Pages. Users can simply log in using their Gmail account if they have one, and begin creating a web page in seconds. The pages are hosted by Google at an address like “username.googlepages.com/home”. The editor gives you a large array of different themes to base your page on, then acts much like an online word processor. In fact, editing pages truly is as easy as writing a document in Microsoft Word. Unfortunately, the pages that you can produce using Google Pages are very “Web 1.0″ – there is nothing cool and Ajaxy or RSS-enabled about it. You get what you get – to make static web pages quickly, easily and for free.

Partition-Saving

Partition-Saving is awkwardly named but incredibly useful app for transferring the bits of one drive to the space on another drive. It’s kind of like Norton Ghost, but free. The utility works in DOS only, and I think would be excellent for techs of any stripe. Partition-Saving can also save parts of a drive, like the Master Boot Record or partition tables. The documentation is extensive, and I appreciate the effort,

vista. which on will you choose?

Windows Starter 2007 – Vista without Aero, probably meant for developing nations. Windows
Vista Home Basic – Basic Windows Vista for your single PC fam, doesn’t sound like much going on here. Analagous to XP Home.
Windows Vista Home Basic N – European version of the same, but without Media Player (because of antitrust rulings against MS in the EU).
Windows Vista Home Premium – This is the one we’re all probably gonna own. It’s got Media Center functionality, Cable Card support, the whole home-media shebang.
Windows Vista Business – Think of it as XP Pro, but Vista.
Windows Vista Business N – Think of it as XP Pro, but Vista, but Euro.
Windows Vista Enterprise – Business version of Vista with numerous enterprise features, like Virtual PC, volume encryption, etc.
Windows Vista Ultimate – Love that name. This one does all of the above (and more); what else do you need to know? It’s ultimate Windows.
Screamer

There is little reason to listen to commercial FM radio anymore, it is an old medium that provides little choice of music and is saturated with ads. For the last couple of years there has been an alternative, streaming internet radio. An alternative that has been somewhat complicated to use.
Screamer Radio attempts to remedy this problem by bringing most of the required steps into a single, easy to use, freeware program.
Major Features
- Freeware
- Simple to handle
- Not bloated!
- Recording of streams
