Watch FLV files on your media player
ohhh you may be wondering what .flv are. They are the kind of files you find on youtube, Google video and the likes. You can download those files using either Firefox extensions or various bookmarklets available…
After downloading using these few steps you can enjoy them on windows media player rather than various apps build for FLV playback which aren’t that good at all… so enjoy
First step :
Download and install ffdshow
Then :
- Download the packed binary file (build by “Celtic Druid”)
- Extract the filter file (flvsplitter.ax) from the archive
- Copy the file to your “windows/system32” directory
- From the Start menu choose “Run” and enter: regsvr32 flvsplitter.ax
If you intend to uninstall the filter at any time run regsvr32 -u flvsplitter.ax and remove the file.
Still didn’t understand how to do it, then watch this video on how to do the whole thing.

Redesign Google
Back in January designer Andy Rutledge took on the task of redesigning Google’s home page to make it, how shall we say, more designed. Of course, Rutledge doesn’t work for Google and we’ll never see it on Google.com–or will we? Tristan Dunn has put together a Greasemonkey script that replaces Google’s home page with Rutledge’s pretty “Google Redux” every time you visit. It’s pretty weird loading up Google’s home page to find something completely new and fresh. The script even checks for Google’s fancy holiday logos.

Download youtube and google videos
One of the frustrating things about websites that use Flash video is
that they rarely provide links to let you download the video files for
offline viewing or transcoding/syncing to portable devices like the Sony PSP, video iPod, or Creative Zen Vision.
Case and point: Google Video and YouTube. Neither of these websites allow you to download the video files. This type of lock-down is soooo Web 1.0.

YouTube To Me
to install these scripts you will need the Greasemonkey extension for Firefox.
After installing Greasemonkey, relaunch Firefox, then right-click the
links above and select “Install User Script.” Now whenever you browse
to a Google Video or YouTube webpage, you will see a prominent download
link at the top.
